Zendala Dare and String Thing Challenges

So glad to see the Zendala Dare's appearance in my feed reader - welcome back Erin - hope you enjoy your summer. Looking forward to hearing more about you business opportunity - sounds like even though you're out of school for the summer you're still going to be quite busy.  Hope to see a few more Dares before you head back to school.

Zendala Dare #94 - since it's the first of the month the added feature is Happy.  I thought about using tangles that begin with the letters in Happy but decided to go with what often makes me happy when tangling - lines.  Line work makes me happy.  A little surprised at what appeared - it's a little more delicate than what I usually do, as in fill any open space with a tangle lol!  I'm not entirely sure that it doesn't need a bit more but for know I'm going with this.  Who knows another day I might pick it up and add more to it.

It's a String Thing #43 challenge can be found at Tickled to Tangle  I'm late to this challenge.  I think I managed to complete one before taking off on my recent travel adventure.  Glad to find it again - this one was a fun one with lots of appeal.  The tangle choices were Hypnotic, Hibred, Hollibaugh and Huggins.  I opted to not use Huggins.  I kind of like the way it turned out.  Looking forward to adding this to my list of challenges.

Great Zendala! I love the openness and clarity of all the tangles you've chosen. And a great take on the String Thing! Thanks so much for reminding me of 'Angel Fish' - I had tried so hard to remember and of course, I did know it as soon as you said! Axx

I do like your zendala with the open spaces, I'm another who likes to fill a space, have to make a conscious decision to leave some space and hold myself back! I really like the ones in the middle that look like little feather dusters :)
I used Hibred in the same way in the string but with your little circles along the edge it looks quite different :) Linda x

It is hard to stop sometimes. The first one is like a breath of fresh air, so open and beautiful. Yet, the second, completely filled has its own charm. Both are lovely.

I love your zendala! I struggle with white space... so that's something I really need to work on! Beautiful movement in it as well!

Your Zendala looks great. I like the feathery pattern in the middle and like the bead work that you used. Have not tried It's a string thing. Have seen others post about it. I did not even get to the Diva Challenge this week.

This is very delicate and I like your linework. The elongated Cootie's are lovely.
